Liberal Elections Canada Filings Make Mockery of Elections Canada with Santa Claus Filings

Do Santa and his elves support the Liberal Party of Canada? Apparently they do, according to data submitted by the Liberal Party to Elections Canada. In the December 2006 quarterly report, eight individuals from three different provinces gave money to the Liberals; the problem is that all of them were submitted with a postal code of H0H 0H0, the postal code Canada Post has assigned for letters to Santa Claus.

This chart shows the information which the Liberals passed on to Elections Canada:
The difference in treatment offered by Elections Canada to the Conservative Party and the Liberal Party continues to be obvious. It seems that, in the eyes of Elections Canada and Chief Electoral Officer the Liberals can do no wrong. This has reached the point were the Liberals have submitted laughable and erroneous information to the agency, with no apparent castigation or punishment.

I find it pretty shocking that the Liberals would have been able to get away with this sort of filing with Elections Canada.

I never thought that I'd see the day when I'd lose complete faith in the institution charged with keeping our democracy fair and functioning...

Wow, I am shocked and appalled.

This is the thing that bothers me: If they are this corrupt how do we know they are counting the votes right? How do we even know they were counting them right in 2006? a year ago before this junk I wouldn't have dreamed of that question but now...

good catch....
can hardly wait till the MSM get on it. in my wildest dreams!!! EC should adopt the slogan we are "entitled to our entitlements". what a farce but typical. i suspect there will be a big overhaul with EC one of these days. another dream.

Hm, we should look into if H0H 0H0 is only used for the Santa letters or if it is also used as a default code by Canada Post when the true postal code isn't known.

If the result is a negative, then I think EC has some explaining to do.

Do you have a link for this?

Yes, please provide a link to that chart. I'm just stunned!

How can donors from different provinces have the same postal code?

If EC is as efficient as they want us to believe, how could this get past their system?

-1- If a manual system is used perhaps its a minor oversight, but someone has to review it. As such somebody isn't doing their job or its overdue for a look see from Sheila Fraser and gang.

-2- If this is an automated software system, a flag would have gone off, and the only way to get the data entered is if an over ride is in the system or the software doesn't have it setup to check this sort of thing -- its just a spreadsheet. Still suggests sloppy accounting.

Regardless, perhaps it would be wise to get that screen shot sent to all points of the blogging community before its "Garthified".

This calls into question the practices of Elections Canada, and the accuracy of the submissions made to it by the Liberal Party of Canada.

I'm sure Paul Szabo's "Ethics Committee" will be calling an inquiry into these flagrantly erroneous entries very, very soon, like when Hell freezes over.

I wonder if NB TORY LADY saw this.

The liberal closet doors into their 'in out scheme' is widening; not even the liberals' beloved security blanket MSM can protect the liberals anymore nor for that matter the msm's very own in out scheme of theirs.

The election canada is smelling to high heaven the stench is so alive that they themselves will be held accountable for this mess which they allowed to happen.

Take it from me,Canada Post utilizes this fictitious postal code for their Christmas children's letter writing program....period.It is not utilized as a default postal address.Elections Canada does have some explaining to do......This is either preferential treatment for the Liberals or else there is someone with an IQ of 10 verifying these lists[probably a liberal]
