Liberal Senator Larry Campbell recently said that he believes that Canadians shouldn't be free to spend their money as they see fit. In a National Post article, he said the following, "There's always this idea that, if it's your own money you're spending, you can do whatever you want. Sorry. That doesn't happen in my world. You should be looking out the good of the country and the good of your community."
Do Stephane Dion and the rest of the Liberal Party agree with statement or do they believe, like most sensible Canadians, that we should have the freedom to spend our post-tax money as we see fit??

Had to interrupt, are you listening to Sgro now. she said it is the liberals that brought out the accountability and transparancy act. really.? where is the $millions stolen from the canadians.
'That doesn't happen in my world'
So, I have to ask Senator Campbell, where exactly is "your world".
Whether you like it or not, I will spend my money as I d*mn well please!
That's the typical Liberal attitude we've seen for years, although it still shocks me to hear him say it so explicitly!
I'll spend my money any way I damn well please.
And speaking of looking out for the community... Did the idiot Senator ever consider the positive effects on the local economies from staging an NFL game here? Perhaps he'd rather Canadians go down to Buffalo to watch NFL games and spend their tourist dollars helping out the local American economies?
What a wonderful poster boy example to give us reasons why the Senate should be blown up! Not only is this guy a waste of tax dollars, he's a waste of oxygen. If the Liberals are serious about fixing so-called 'global warming', they might try shutting their mouths for a while.
let's start with Larry's money.
He was a disaster as Vancouver's mayor, now it seems he is following in his own footsteps as a Liberal Senator, with his lip lock on the taxpayer's teat making him think he smart.
If that is what Larry Campbell thinks, he is but a common thief and layabout.
Wait a minute... he's a senator - hahaha the above statement isn't libel, it's truth. Can't sue me, Larry. And if your fingers get near my wallet, you'll lose 'em.
The Liberal Senator wants to "protect" the CFL by banning competition "for the good of the country".
Awww, that's so nice..
Perhaps he doesn't realize that monopolies result in poorer quality goods, supply shortages, and excessive-pricing.
Too often when Liberals perceive a problem, their solution is to make choice illegal.
That's the typical socialist approach, preferred by lazy dictators the world over.
So... your well thought through post would appear to indicate that with our after-tax dollars, we should be free to do anything we want, right?
I didn't see and don't really care what some idiot senator said, I just dropped by and saw thi statement of yours that appears to be at odds with many of your fellow conservative supporters, who appear to want very much to control many of the things that people - mostly "bad" people - want to do.
But they can rest assured that you won't prevent them from spending their money on illegal porn, drugs, endangered species fashion or anything.
Cool.
